Tibalt's Journal
Originally a relic of the society, this hidebound diary from the 9th century contains early philosophical musings on the nature of the apocalypse. It also contains passages in indecipherable script, believed to be code. Cracking the diary's secrets has become a dangerous obsession for some members of the society. A scholarly disagreement in the 1800s left the book in sections, and several prominent members of the Order of the Key murdered.
